I'm new to css and all of its tag and stuffs. I can code html though. I remember learning HTML in 2000 using tutorial found inside In-Tech CD that I ordered and start coding by hand.. in Notepad. Sigh.~ Then I found Arachnophilia, an editor / HTML tool written by Paul Lutus. Its a wonderful piece of Care Ware, and was hooked. Html all day long..
Even right now I still use Arachnophilia as my simpe html / script editor (the older version tho, the newer Arach needs Java to run). After that, more and more freeware to try.. lots and lots of java script & DHTML to explore. It was the free webhosting boom in early 2000. Much like Myspace or Friendster boom these day.
..and I believe the blogger boom is already here. Just like Geocities boom back then, many people start blogging due to its simple setup, wider audience and perhaps, because it serve the peoples nature. heck.. It took me 5 years to realize its significants. Or am I just playing jump into the bandwagon here..? I wonder.
Well, my first real encounter of css was with Myspace.com here:http://www.myspace.com/fairx. Man.. theres a girl, a friend of my friend's cousin, and she ask me to register her an email account - simply because she need it to register at Myspace.
"What the hell.." I said.
And I help her. Part curiosity, partly because she's cute. ..and thats when I started doing Myspace. Many of my friends already had their space set up and everyday I heard them talking about beautifying their virtual home. I build mine, setup some data, and finally stumble upon something called css.
I discovered that style tag already exist long before I even write my first html. Way back in my old pages it merely defines a.link, a.hover and all the basic stuff. Today, css define an even better table placement, mouseover, and many more enhancement styles. Its really spark my excitement and I spend long hours searching for custom style, placing pictures and embedding sound clips.
A months later, I got tired playing with myspace. No longer I care for comments or updating my resource. I blame that partly on myself being a Cancer. I don't really like the idea of socializing virtually without any real purpose.
..but the css stuff really struck deep in me.
Then I choose blogging. It serve me better I guess. I always wanted to say something.. criticize, speak up my mind, talking about things that I enjoyed. Well, most of the time I only ended up talking about them.. lol, talks are easier, no need to type anything, no need to choose the right words, care for typos and everything.
..but maybe things will get better.
And today, after days of bit by bit reading the w3 css guidse & example I finally understands a little about what makes what in the world of css. and settles the posting box issue..
Its though but I got some help from this little shareware, TopStyle Pro CSS / XHTML / HTML Editor from the maker of Homesite and FeedDemon, which helps me to define blogspot css better.
sigh...~ I really need to go to bath.. Its a long long hours of working for me today.
Wait a while and I'll definitely change my blog looks & feels, gradually, hopefully.
